The Ark is not really a part of the windows but it is an integral part of the overall design and by it’s nature the focal point of the room.

I did the rendering according to some general specifications we had worked out. The design of the eternal light and the tablets fell to me.

The tablets are simply pained foam that I first hit with the angle grinder for shape, beat up a little bit and painted to give a look of stone.

The light was again cut aluminum and Plexiglas cut on the water jet and painted and coated. The actual light sits inside the top of the ark. I also sprayed the wall behind the ark to bring out the texture of the stone and give it a little more depth and interest beyond the standard blocks that were there.
